(Grayslake, IL) – Waubonsee Community College's Competitive Co-Ed Cheerleading squad secured a bid to the Chicago Nationals Grand Finale competition April 29-30 at Elgin Community College after taking first place in the Intermediate College Division at Xtreme Spirit's Holiday Classic at the College of Lake County. The squad's first place winning, high energy, two-and-a-half-minute routine was assessed no deductions and tallied a score of 95.7 from the judges. Waubonsee's Cheer team, coached by Gina Damato and Brie Vincent, is captained by sophomores Sami Damato and Kaylee Hill. The other team members include Emily Albrecht, Alyssa Alexander, Caroline Allen, Katherine Barrera, Rose Hanus, Hannah Kail, Jenna Kail, Randi McCaine, Paige MacRitchie, George Ornelas, Dyani Rivera, Marla Rodriguez, Arizbeth Sanchez, Madison Stevens, Kadence Tripp, Lyndsey Welsh and Anna Wenzel.
