Blackberry Oaks Golf Course

The Chiefs’ golfers’ practice and host their Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference home match at Blackberry Oaks Golf Course in nearby Bristol. Named as one of the best golf courses in the Chicagoland area by Chicagoland Golf Magazine, Blackberry Oaks is a public, 18-hole championship golf course designed by the late David Gill of St. Charles. Blackberry Oaks Golf Course is a true “Link with Nature.” The course was built to blend and enhance the natural assets of the property with the namesake Blackberry Creek winding through it, along with natural wetlands, prairie grasses and mature oak groves.

Blackberry Oaks has been honored to host many local and national qualifying tournaments. In addition to numerous Illinois Junior Golf Association events, Blackberry Oaks has hosted the Qualifiers for the 2003 Illinois Open, the 1998 and 2001 U.S. Junior Amateur, the 2012 US Women’s Amateur, the 1998, 2005, and 2013 Illinois State Amateur, and the 1997 U.S. Open.
