Erickson Hall Gymnasium
The Chiefs’ basketball teams and women’s volleyball team practice and play their games in Erickson Hall Gymnasium located on the north side of the Sugar Grove campus. The Chiefs’ home court seats up to 1,500 people and features a scoreboard with individual player scoring and fouls. A television control room is situated on the second floor with nearby access for cameras to overlook the court for ‘live’ broadcasts of select home games.
A large weight room for just the Chiefs’ teams is located on the second floor. Squat racks, bench presses, free weights and several other weight training machines are available to student-athletes. In addition, a state-of-the-art Fitness Center on the first floor along the south side of the building offers treadmills, stair-steppers, free weights and numerous other stations for a full-body workout.
The Study Hall room, located on the second floor, features over 50 computer stations and also free wi-fi access to help student-athletes achieve success in the classroom. A certified tutor helps monitor the room and assists students when needed. Another large room is located on the second floor at the south end of the building, which will be the future home of Waubonsee's ESports team.
Erickson Hall also has a partial two-story atrium lounge area where students can relax, watch television, play ping-pong or study. Waubonsee’s Athletic Hall of Fame is located on the first floor of the building adjacent to the lower level lounge area. There are two locker rooms on the first floor for visiting teams, two small rooms for event officials, and men's and women's locker rooms for the aforementioned Fitness Center.
