(Sugar Grove, IL.) - Waubonsee Community College's baseball doubleheader against Harper College for today, April 30, has been rained out. The Chiefs (23-20) and Hawks (5-22) were scheduled to begin their twinbill at 2:30 p.m. on Waubonsee's field. At this time no make-up date has been set. The Chiefs are scheduled to play again tomorrow at the College of Lake County (21-17) in their Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference (ISCC) finale of the season. The single, 9-inning contest is set to being at 3:00 p.m. in north suburban Grayslake. Waubonsee is currently 11-9 in ISCC action, while the Lancers are 11-7 in conference play. The Chiefs return home this Thursday, May 2 when they host Joliet Junior College (22-18) in their final regular season home games beginning at 2:00 p.m. Prior to the first game of the doubleheader, Waubonsee will be recognizing retiring Wolves' head coach Wayne King, who the Chiefs have competed against the last 33 seasons. Waubonsee is then set to close out the regular season this Friday, May 3 with a twinbill at Highland Community College in Freeport starting at 2:00 p.m.
