Chiefs tie for 2nd, Hed and Clark earn All-ISCC

(Mundelein, IL.) - Waubonsee Community College golfers finished in a tie for second place in the final Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference (ISCC) standings, while the Chiefs' Jake Hed and Jackson Clark each earned All-ISCC honors. In the fifth and final ISCC match of the season the Chiefs shot a team total of 318 to edge Oakton Community College by one shot and take second place on the day at Sportsman's Country Club. The College of Lake County repeated as ISCC Champions by finishing the round with a score of 302 as they won four of the five conference matches this fall. Lake County finished the ISCC schedule with 19 points, while Waubonsee and Oakton each finished with 13 points.  

Hed, a sophomore from Kaneland High School, ended the day with a round of 78 to finish tied for fifth. Overall Hed placed fourth individually over the five ISCC matches to earn All-Conference honors. Clark was one shot back of his teammate on the day with a 79. The Marmion Academy graduate finished seventh overall on the season to also garner All-Conference accolades. The Chiefs' Andrew Nelson carded an 80, Jack Thayer tallied an 81 and Aaron Collmann turned in an 88 to round out Waubonsee's participants. Lake County's Konnor Kininmonth shot a 1-under par 69 to take medalist honors for the day, winning by five strokes over Oakton's Jack Haberkorn. Kinninmonth also earned the ISCC Player of the Year with a 74.2 average over the five conference rounds.
