(Aurora, IL) - Waubonsee Community College golfers participated in the Aurora University Double Gun match held at the Aurora Country Club on Tuesday, September 7. Waubonsee was one of only two junior colleges competing in the 16-team field. Only three Chiefs finished their round at the 6,785 yard, par 72 course on Aurora's far southwest side. John Wojcik paced the Chiefs' trio by firing a 12-over par 84 to finish tied for 42nd overall. Waubonsee's Tony LoPresti carded a 17-over par 89 to tie for 69th place, while Michael Elliott finished 85th with a score of 94. The host Spartans won the event by shooting a combined 4-over par 292, winning by 11 strokes over second place Illinois Valley Community College's total of 303. Aurora's Braeden Duncan took medalist honors by two strokes, shooting a 2-under par 70.
