Chiefs take third once more at ISCC match

(Northbrook, IL) - If nothing else, coach Dusty Darnold's Waubonsee Community College golfers are consistent. For the fifth straight time this season the Chiefs finished third at an Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference (ISCC) match. Waubonsee tallied a team total of 333 to take third among the six ISCC schools participating at the Heritage Oaks Golf Course in north suburban Northbrook. The College of Lake County took the top spot for the fourth time this Fall, all but wrapping up the 2022 ISCC title with one conference match remaining. Cody Ganzon paced the Chiefs by firing a 6-over par 78, his third round in the 70's this season. Teammate Gavin Woods was one stroke behind him with a 79. Dylan Krol carded an 86 and Parker Wrecenyar shot a 90 to round out the Chiefs' scoring. Isaac McCumber fought his way through an injury to his hand to end the day with a 91. Waubonsee is in action again next Wednesday, September 28 when they host the final ISCC match of the season at Blackberry Oaks Golf Course in Bristol. The first group is set to tee-off that day beginning at 12:30 p.m.
