(Northbrook, IL.) - Waubonsee Community College golfers continued to show some improvement at the third Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference (ISCC) match of the 2024 season. The Chiefs posted a team score of 340 and finished fourth at Heritage Oaks Golf Club in north suburban Northbrook. The host school, defending ISCC champions Oakton Community College, dominated once again setting a program record with a team score of 293. The Owls' Matthew Smith fired a sensational 67 to lead the way, the second best round in ISCC play in the last 25 years. The College of Lake County's Matt Goulding fired a 65 at Blackberry Oaks Golf Course in 2021 carding a 32 on the back nine. Moraine Valley Community College was second on the day with a score of 318, while the College of Lake County was third with a 323. Kyle Ryan tied for fourth individually, pacing Waubonsee with a 5-over par 75 carding a 36 on the front nine and a 38 after the turn. Justin Winters posted an 83, Ryder Zeluff finished with a 91 and Joe Barbush ended his round with a 92. Emily Schultz shot a 101 and Nicholas Sachse turned in a 103 for the Chiefs.
