Title: | Volunteer Assistant Coach |
Josh Hill joined Waubonsee's staff as the Chiefs' Goalkeeper Coach for the 2024 season after spending the last four seasons as the Head Men's Soccer Coach at McHenry County College. Hill steps back into a very familiar role as a goalkeeper coach with over 25 years of coaching experience at the club, one-on-one, collegiate and semi professional levels. He spent 10 years on Dan Gaspars' staff with the Star Goalkeeper Academy and the Connecticut Soccer School, first as a camp demonstrator and then as a full-time coach.
Hill played collegiately for a year at the University of Cincinnati and then finished his college career at the University of Southern Indiana (USI), where he earned a bachelors in Exercise Physiology. He was an integral part of two Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament runner-up teams at USI, which were ranked as high as 10th and 18th nationally in consecutive National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) polls. Coach Hill moved on to play professionally with Coventry City ( England), Malaga CF (Spain), U.D. Leiria (Portugal), and Excelsior ( Holland). He also played professionally indoor with the Cincinnati Excite, Chicago Storm, and Chicago Soul.
Coach Hill and his wife Kellie both work in the fitness industry, as he has owned Hilltop Fitness Inc. since 2009 and she has served as a fitness specialist at a local gym. The Hill's have five kids, which keep them very busy away from soccer and fitness endeavors, and they reside in Sugar Grove.
