Chiefs win fourth straight, edge Oakton

(Aurora, IL.)  Waubonsee Community College's Men's Tennis team won their fourth straight match, edging Oakton Community College 5-4 indoors at the Vaughn Center on Aurora's far west side. The Chiefs' Adam Pflederer led the way by winning his number three singles match 6-3, 6-2 over Boon Carreon. He then teamed up with Jason Koesler to take the number one doubles match 8-5 over the duo of Carreon and Robert Lazar. At number four singles Triston Robb edged Henry Nguyen in three sets 7-6, 2-6 and 10-5. Jacob Decker also won his match at number five singles 6-0, 6-4 over Jeff Celenza. Decker and Robb then combined to beat Nguyen and Celenza in a nail-biting 9-8 match at number two doubles to secure the Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference victory for Waubonsee.
