On Friday Waubonsee Community College Men's and Women's Cross Country Team competed in the Illinois Skyway Collegiate Conference Championship Meet hosted by College of Lake County. The Chiefs brought home both individual champions, five ISCC All-Conference members and a men's runner up finish. Emma McSpadden 1^st (So., Geneva High School, 20:03) earned ISCC Women's Runner of the Year honors by cruising to a 1:02 victory over second place. Cassidy Schaus 10^th (Fr., Yorkville High School, 23:14) also earned ISCC All-Conference Honors. The men's team placed 2^nd overall in a tight race for the team title, four teams were within 8 points. Dylan Zangri 1^st (Fr., Oswego East, 27:12) earned ISCC Men's Runner of the Year honors in a very tactical race, closing in a final mile under 5 minutes. Other ISCC All-Conference members include: Jose Alvarado 8^th (So., East Aurora High School, 27:49) and Julian Hernandez 9^th (Fr., Rochelle Township High School, 28:05). College of Lake County won both Men's and Women's team title. The chiefs have an off week before being back on the course October 28^th competing for the Region IV Championship hosted by Sauk Valley Community College in Dixon, IL.
