(Bettendorf, IA) - Waubonsee Community College's Jordan VanBarriger continues to achieve things very few Chiefs' Cross Country runners have ever done. The sophomore from Rockford East High School won the men's 8K race at the St. Ambrose University Fighting Bee Invitational to help lead Waubonsee to a fourth place finish overall. Teammate Brad Osuch also placed 13th overall to earn top accolades among the 73 runners that participated from 10 colleges. Dalton Klingensmith finished 27th, Noah Robinson came in 29th, Cristian Driscoll was 32nd and C.J. Girolamo crossed the finish line 35th as the Chiefs tallied 102 points.

Gaby Juarez-Marrufo paced Waubonsee's women placing 25th overall in the 5K race with a time of 21:35. The Chiefs finished with 187 points to place seventh as a team among the 11 teams competing. Elizabeth Hess came in 37th, Rebecca Sweeney placed 40th, Ezbeydy Rivera finished 42nd and Maira Weitkamp was 45th among the 84 runners that participated.
