(Clermont, Florida) -  Waubonsee Community College's softabll team finished their annual Spring Trip to central Florida on a high note as they blanked Dakota County (MN) Community College 8-0 in five innings. Julia Penman limited the Blue Knights to six hits with a pair of strike outs and no walks in the shutout performance. The Chiefs scored four times in the bottom of the third and three more in the fourth to get to the eight-run after five inning slaughter rule. Two-run singles by Samantha Moravek and Ambyr Siebens highlighted the third, while Nicole Krupp's three-run blast to centerfield pushed Waubonsee to the 8-0 lead. The long ball by Krupp was her sixth of the season in only 12 games played. Brittany Thomas finished the game 2 for 3 with two runs scored and two stolen bases, and Megan Arcivar smacked a double as one of her two hits in the victory.
