Isabel Odom joins the Chiefs program as assistant coach, specializing as the organization's pitching coach. Known as Coach "Iz" she comes to Waubonsee with multiple years of coaching experience. Odom coached at nearby Kishwaukee College for two years and spent five years helping the Kishwaukee Valley Storm travel program. The last seven years she has given numerous lessons as a private pitching coach. Odom has been mentored by some of the area's best in softball, including coaches Steve Heidi and Jim Varga of the Kishwaukee Valley Storm organization, Robin Voss from All-American Softball, and Jill Carpenter of Sycamore High School.

After playing all four years at Sycamore High School, Odom pitched at Kishwaukee College and played six years of travel ball. She ended her playing career with championship success in the circle with the Kishwaukee Valley Storm. Odom moved seemlessly from playing to coaching with the Storm, and currently directs their 18U team. Off the field Coach Odom stays busy as a graduate student, friend and big sister of three siblings, Lily, Pepper and Porter.
