(Palos Hills, IL) - Waubonsee Community College finished fifth at the Region IV Division I Tennis Tournament. The Chiefs tallied six team points, while McHenry County College ran away with the team title by piling up 19.5 points. Waubonsee's Lauren Weber reached the number four singles title match, falling 6-2 and 6-0 to McHenry's Kyleigh Kessler. Katie Biard also finished second at number five singles losing in the final 6-1, 6-2 to McHenry's Elizabeth Lalonde. In doubles play Waubonsee's number one doubles duo of Hailey Wilcox and Elizabeth Egerman finished fourth, dropping the third-place match 7-6 and 6-4 to Moraine Valley's Brooke Zielke and Libby Newton. Biard and Pauline Schallmo also placed fourth at number three doubles, losing to Lake County in the third place match.
