
(Sugar Grove, IL) - Waubonsee Community College is offering three Winter Softball Camps, with instruction by former collegiate pitcher and new Chiefs' head coach Hannah Tomasko. Interested individuals can register for any of the camps by going to www.WaubonseeTickets.UniversityTickets.com or scanning the QR codes below for the respective camps, all held in Waubonsee's Field House on the Sugar Grove campus.
Youth through high school players can sign up for a one-day Pitching Camp on either Friday, December 6 or Friday, December 13 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. both evenings. Cost of the Pitching Camp is $50 and campers must bring their own catchers. Tomasko, a former standout in the circle at Aurora University (AU), will be heading up those sessions. The right-handed hurler was a three-time All-Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) First Team selection and NACC Pitcher of the Year, National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Second Team All-American, NFCA Great Lakes All-Region First Team honoree and AU's Female Athlete of the Year in 2021.
A one-day Youth Camp for fifth through eighth graders is set for Sunday, January 19 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Improving camper's infield and outfield play, along with their hitting and agility will be the focus. Current Waubonsee players will assist Tomasko with this teaching session. The cost for the Youth Camp is $75
A Prospect Camp for high school players and prospective future Chiefs' softball players will also be held on Sunday, January 19 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. The cost of this camp is also $75.
